Tape Loop Temple

The Tape Loop Temple is an immersive sound installation for single person experience. Elaborating on the simple yet acquainted idea of a temple, the Tape Loop Temple sets the scene for serenity and introspection. Upon entering the temple, the visitor is taken along in the setting for an audiophile listening experience of Généalogies, an analog composition by Mathijs Leeuwis, amplified by the use of architecture, live vocals and kaleidoscopic visuals. Audience responses from the temple include being overwhelmed, moved and mesmerized. Most visitors indicated having no previous experience with minimal music, but feeling positively accompanied in a transcendent experience.
